CLASS ACTION INVOLVING BP SHINGLES

Premature Wearing of Roofing Shingles: A Class Action Was Launched

During the course of our work, we have seen problems related to the premature wearing on roofs in Montreal. Perhaps you have had this problem.

If you have had shingles installed since 1985, it is important to pay particular attention to the condition of the shingles, because you could benefit from this class action. You must look at aspects such as overturned shingle corners and wearing on the surface. In fact, the photograph above is a very good example. Your situation may not be as bad but it could become like this. The products affected are BP organic shingles made of a felt mat saturated with bitumen. They are also called organic roof shingles, manufactured during the period from 1985 to 2010 under the following names:

  • Eclipse

  • Eclipse H/R

  • Eclipse LS

  • Super Eclipse

  • Weather-Tite

  • Mirage
