History

René Perron Ltd was founded in 1924 by René Perron, a pioneer in roofing and sheet metal work. The company originally employed a dozen men, but just three short years later it had grown to a staff of 50—working alongside this dedicated man.

Their many projects include schools, churches, (copper, slate and other materials), buildings belonging to major corporations such as Johnson & Johnson, American Can, and Kraft, as well as numerous special projects, like the Botanical Gardens and the copper monuments at Place Bonsecours in Old Montreal.

In 1946, the son of Rene Perron, Michel, joins the group and becomes the President of the enterprise from 1981 to 2003. He is still employed at the enterprise as special adviser and now, it's is son Jacques (Grand Son of Rene) that is the President. President, that you may often meet on the job, because he works most of the time with the men. As you can notice, the company has the chance to benefit of a great experience, unfortunately many company do not possess.

This experience benefits all our clients. We are currently working on projects for Molson, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Desjardins-Laurentienne Life Insurance, Shell Canada, Goodyear, the Municipal Housing Bureaus of both Montreal and Anjou, as well as many management companies and private residences.

We have served an estimated 31,000 clients since our company was created and the numbers will continue to grow in the years to come. Our family tradition of service and excellence will be carried on by Jacques and by the fourth generation who seems interested in the family enterprise.
